Ok,
Ive been here now about 5 years and each year I have said I was going to go out and try some shrimping. To be honest shrimp baiting has not really appealed to me, not sure its due to the fact that you have to make some stinky fishmeal balls bringing back remenacing childhood days of fishing for carp at the local rivers in Dayton OH.. (easy now, hey I was a kid, I loved to fish and when the bass and catfish were not biting.. carp were the next best thing.)

At any rate on to the point. I have a nice cast net, about a 10' and I can catch a mess of pogies when I need too. My question is if I put the duct-tape halo around the border of my net for deep holeing,, will it still work when I want to catch some pogies? Is it worth peeling the duct-tape back off when shrimping season is over, and offshoring is back on? Or should I just spend another $200 on a new net?

Thanks,

Scott
